Last night, in a joint operation, the police from Chunchura police station of Chandannagar Commissionerate and Bandel outpost arrested Bandel resident Biki Rao, who had been in hiding for several months. Biki is known to have a history of involvement in various anti-social activities.
Acting on information from confidential sources, the police located and apprehended him in Kangarh Ambagan of Hooghly. Upon search, the authorities recovered a serter gun and one round of bullets from Biki. The police presented him in the Chunchura court today, and an investigation has been initiated to determine the purpose of his presence in Chunchura with weapons.
